WYD Workcamps to outback Australia
Before World Youth Day in Sydney, two voluntary “workcamps” were conducted by centres of Opus Dei in Sydney. Both workcamps involved the completion of a small relief project and provided volunteers with the chance to prepare spiritually for World Youth Day 2008.. 2006/08/31
Australian and New Zealand students refurbish school in Fiji
In July a team of 22 men from Australia and New Zealand travelled to the Fijian village of Navunibitu to carry out urgent maintenance and painting in a school. The project was an annual “workcamp” organized by Warrane College. The pastoral care of Warrane College, a university residence of UNSW, is entrusted to Opus Dei.. 2006/08/16
Dubbo Service Project
For the fourth year in a row, Creston College’s service project allowed twenty students from the Universities of New South Wales, Sydney and Technology the opportunity to touch some hearts – both young and old – in the western NSW town of Dubbo..
